My name is Ligaya Teodoro and I’m very excited for the opportunity to coach for Playball. I was born and raised in Anaheim, California and later moved to San Diego to pursue my education. I completed my undergrad and received my teaching credential in Elementary Education from the University of San Diego. After several years of classroom teaching, I went back to school to receive my Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in Curriculum and Instruction. After 10 years of teaching in the classroom, I wanted to extend my teaching experience into the area of fitness and education geared specifically toward children. Shortly thereafter, I completed my certification as a Children’s Fitness Specialist from AFPA (American Fitness Professionals & Associates).
I have always been active in sports growing up. I believe that all children should have the opportunity to learn more about staying healthy and fit in their everyday lives. Educating young children about fitness and health through playing sports is a great tool to help them build confidence in life skills and teamwork. Through Playball, children will be able to connect the skills of active sport play along with developing a sense of pride and confidence as they grow through the program. My passion for teaching is beyond the walls of the classroom. I will continue to embrace my love for teaching and make our fitness time fun for our kiddos. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with your children!
